James Gray, the founder of the National Writing Project, has passed away. I never met the man, but he's been making a difference in my life, and the life of my students, for the last five years or more.
Well done, sir.

I veru much agree with you, Bud. It was by luck (or fate) that I turned down a job in California and took a job in Colorado. I sat at my computer after school, grabbing things I'd need for inservices, and I wondered how strange my life would be without the CSU Writing Project. I enjoy my job and life so much more with what I've learned and the people I've befriended.
Thank you, Mr. Gray.
